Sadie Amara Calvano, an American actress, best known for playing Violet Plunkett on the CBS sitcom "Mom", has gained a lot of fame. Calvano has a family in California, and initially was attracted to at competitive gymnastics. However, she later made the decision to go after a job acting. In 2010, she was first seen on screen in an episode from the CBS series "NCIS.' Her big screen debut came a year after in the biographical drama film "J Edgar". Over the years she's established herself to be one of the most promising young actresses working in the industry today. She was nominated in the year 2011 for the Young Artist Award in the category of Best Performance for Young Actresses aged 11-15 for her work on NCIS. The year 2013 saw Calvano named a second time for the Young Artist Award. This was for her performance on the Disney XD show 'Kickin It'. Calvano played the lead role in Mom's first three seasons. She was also a guest on several occasions in the fourth season. She received the Gracie Allen Award of Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star for her appearance in Mom.
